EcoVadis, the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, has awarded Zoppas Industries Heating Element Technologies a silver medal in recognition of sustainability achievements.
ZIHET is now positioned in the top 13% of companies rated by EcoVadis in the manufacture of electrical equipment.
The EcoVadis assessments focus on ZIHET’s Italian plant and cover 21 issues in 4 areas: environment, labour & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. The evaluation criteria are based upon international sustainability standards, including Global Compact Principles, International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions, Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, ISO 26000 standards and the CERES principles. The ZIHET plant was ranked above average in all 4 areas under examination.
ZIHET’s commitment to continuous improvement in these areas is marked by the ambition to win higher levels of recognition every year. The EcoVadis silver medal is just part of that journey.
